Endometriosis
Endometriosis is the migration of endometrial tissue to abnormal sites in the abdomen, causing cyclic bleeding into the pelvis at menstruation with inflammation and adhesion formation.
There is no definitive cause or cure for endometriosis. And many suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. There are theories in the medical community that endometriosis can be caused by an imbalanced liver, which is charged with detoxifying hormones. Another theory is a relationship between gut and the microbiome. Dysbiosis can potentially cause inflammation leading to damaged cells and impaired
immune system. A high level of Beta Glucuronidase, which is found in the gut, can also play a part with estrogen detoxification and estrogen dominance, often seen in endometriosis sufferers.
An extensive look into hormone testing, gut testing and diet and nutrition can help sufferers of
endometriosis reduce many of the painful and frustrating symptoms.
